Safe to obfuscate a VSTO solution?

I've not actually tried this yet, mainly because I'm in the middle of trying to get a release out the door, but I had planned on obfuscating my code (the VSTO assembly) before final release.

I am concerned, however, that in doing so, I will break the solution ...

So I need to know: Is it safe to obfuscate the assembly of a VSTO project?
